Based on real-time data from the Alberta Electric Systems Operator (AESO), the app brings timely information on current energy sources within the province of Alberta to your mobile device, broken down by source and shown by location.

Current pricing is displayed minute by minute as well as aggregated by the hour, day, and monthly averages with easy to navigate pages that include:

-Total energy load & production details by source (coal/gas/hydro/wind/biomass), both internal and external.
-Simplified energy sources map, showing energy source outages by location, as well as how much energy is being imported into or exported from the province to other jurisdictions.
-Detailed Energy Reserves list.
-Real time ‘System Marginal Price’ (SMP), including projected pool pricing and a 30 day average price table.

In addition, home owners and businesses alike can easily calculate the potential cost of each Kilowatt hour (kWh) of consumption within their home or office and apply pricing to see the impact on their energy costs.
